Did You Know…the Supreme Court is hearing a challenge to its own 2020 decision that declared 2/3 of Oklahoma to be an Indian reservation. The debate comes because crimes committed on reservations cannot be prosecuted by state or local law enforcement but must instead be heard in tribal or federal courts. Is this a respect of the autonomy of Native American land, or an injustice do to the lack of resources available to them? The Court seems divided.
